Passing of Gordon Graham, canola industry leader

Gordon Graham, Canola Council of Canada honorary life member and past chair of the Rapeseed Association of Canada, passed away on February 7, 2018. Graham, a farmer from Newdale, Manitoba, had a long history with the canola industry. He was president of the Manitoba Rapeseed Growers Association in the mid-1970s, chairman of the Rapeseed Association of Canada from 1975 to 1978 and director of the association from 1972 to 1983. In 1988, he received the Canola Council of Canada Honorary Life Membership Award, and in 2012 he was awarded the Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Medal in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the canola industry.
