Do you know your soil’s character?

Soil characteristics stay fairly consistent so don’t need to be checked too often, but use these tests to set expectations for new fields or fields that haven’t been tested recently.

With fall soil tests, ask for electrical conductivity, pH, cation exchange capacity and organic matter along with the nutrient analysis. These characteristics can influence productivity decisions for each field.
