Interswitching gives shippers on a single rail line access to service from the next closest railway. The Flip the Switch coalition, which includes the Canola Council of Canada and Canadian Canola Growers Association, wants a 30-month extension of the existing pilot.
On November 7, 2023, Canadian Canola Growers Association (CCGA) and the Canola Council of Canada (CCC) went to Parliament Hill to meet with parliamentarians and senior staff to advocate on behalf of Canada’s 43,000 canola farmers and the entire canola value chain. CCGA and CCC concluded a full day of meetings with a joint parliamentary reception.
The CCC and CCGA participated in the annual Tri-National Accord, which brings together state and provincial agriculture leaders from Canada, the U.S. and Mexico to discuss agricultural trade and development issues.
